Nobelton Victoria Day May 18 2026

Today the Public Service Team attended the annual Nobelton Victoria Day Festival and Parade. The event was very well attended as in previous years, no incidents to report during our watch and it appears from the smiling faces that a good time was had by all.

Markham Emergency Preparedness Day – May 3rd

On May 3rd members from the club attended the Markham Emergency Preparedness day held at the Markham Museum.  The event was well attended throughout the entire day.  This event was held in the transportation building along with a dozen other public service agencies.  I must say that our booth was well attended.

Morse code was used as a demonstration tool, along with Go Kits and various radio equipment.

Kid-friendly handouts were created, along with buttons and stickers, helping make amateur radio more approachable and fun for younger visitors.

Special thanks go to Mike VA3MCT, Mark VA3MYH, Sam VA3RUC, Mike VE3BWV, Gary VE3FWZ, Benny VE3MUU, and Rob VE3XBI for helping make the day a great success.
